Newport, October 1990. A trailer in front of route 132. In front, the sea. Behind, a field surrounded by century-old trees. Alice and her father Benoît live in this tiny residence. A month ago, Marie (the mother, the wife) died. Alice and Benoît need to learn to live together. In their new daily lives, a dress is agitated, recalling the presence of the mother through its movements. Alice forgets her sadness, but Benoît, worried about his daughter's behavior, does not want to leave her alone and takes her offshore to fish for cod.
