Agôn is a hybrid project, a sculpture film. It testifies to a process of creation and destruction in the form of a fiction, by the staging of a scenographed singular combat in perpetual mutation.

After graduating in 2006 from Villa Arson (Nice), Florian Pugnaire then continued his studies at Le Fresnoy (Tourcoing). In addition to his personal practice, he has been working in duo with David Raffini since 2008. He has been a resident of La Station (Nice) since 2010. Constant back-and-forth between sculpture, cinema and video are the fundamental principles of his practice: mediums intersect, question and respond to each other around the notion of work in progress. Combining the worlds of the workshop and the construction site, Florian Pugnaire is interested in the operations that make up manufacturing.
