In Quebec, Mexico and Asia, three sensitive souls heed the call of the images and melodies that haunt their days and nights. Sophie Goyette is the writer and director of six 13-award-winning films in competition at Sundance, Locarno and TIFF Toronto. His short films En Parallèle (2008), À l'État Sauvage (2009) and Manèges (2010) have been noticed on the circuit at numerous festivals. Premiering at the Locarno Film Festival, his 4th short La Ronde (2011) won six awards, including “Best Fiction Short Film” at the Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois, was selected at Top Ten Canada and received a 2012 GENIE AWARD nomination. His 5th short film The Near Future (2012) also won six awards including the “National Grand Prix” at its world premiere and was in international competition at the 2013 Sundance Festival. My nights will echo (2017) is her first fiction feature film, winning the 2017 Bright Future Award at the Rotterdam Festival for its international premiere, and nominated for the 2018 Quebec Collegiate Film Awards.
