Justine Prince
Canada

Justine Prince is a filmmaker from Quebec City whose work mainly explores the representation of genres, nostalgia and childhood. Her approach boils down to deconstructing the codes of femininity in cinema through a language that oscillates between realism and dreaminess. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in cinema from UQAM in 2021, leaving the graduation night with the Grand Prize for her film Charming. A versatile artist, she then directed video clips for artists such as Maryline Léonard, Fredz and Brigitte Boisjoli, and is now working for La Distributrice de Films as a distributor. Justine has just finished her first independent short film, Peaches, funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, and is starting pre-production on her next short film, Lost And Found.
